In reviewing American Whitewater's write-up on the Middle Gauley, it states it is a Class III/III+ and is a good primer for the lower and or upper Gauley. Has anyone paddled the middle and if so, can you share thoughts/lessons learned on this river section? Good times to go to miss the crowds, etc? Any good camping recommendations? Is anyone interested in running the middle Gauley in 2018?
