Sunday Paddle - Dealers Choice
About this event
This week’s Sunday paddle we’ll go back to our home turf, the GW Canal. The weather forecast shows a high around 72 degrees with a chance of showers and SSE winds at 9 mph. Meeting time is 10:00am at Violette’s Lock. The predicted Little Falls gage is 4.3 ft, which is a good level for this river section. The water temperature is likely to be in the mid to high 60s. It has been a while since we have been able to do this run, so I thought this would be a fun choice for this Sunday, given the weather and water conditions. PFDs are required for all. Helmets are required for kayakers using spray skirts and highly recommended for all others. Airbags are strongly encouraged for boats without other means of flotation. If you need safety equipment, please advise the trip coordinator.
