Sunday paddle - 8:30 am Riley's to Pennyfield via GW Canal
By popular request, this week we will run the class two Riley’s to Pennyfield stretch of the Potomac via the GW Canal stretch on the far side of the river.
Meet at Pennyfield Lock by 8:30 a.m. to set shuttle, then we will head to Riley’s to start.
As always, please let this week's trip coordinator, Jackie Hoglund, know if you will be joining: jhoglund1 @yahoo.com, 301 661 6916.
Weather and water forecast: Little Falls gauge is currently a boney 2.7, rains may raise it but not counting on it. Temps predicted to be in the 80s in the morning with a 20% chance of rain.
PFDs are required for all. Helmets are required for kayakers using spray skirts and highly recommended for all others. Airbags are strongly encouraged for boats without other means of flotation. If you need safety equipment, please advise the trip coordinator in advance.
