Sunday Paddle - Geo Washington Canal Loop, Meet at Violettes Lock @ 8:00

The Fathers Day Sunday Paddle will meet at Violettes Lock at 8:00 to paddle the GW Loop, returning on the re-watered canal; no shuttle required. The weather forecast is sunny with a high of 86°, though our early start should keep us out of the heat. The Little Falls gauge should be around 3.0 ft, a moderate level. The water is currently (Thurs) 78°.

Since last Sunday's trip attracted 20 paddlers, who split into several groups, we're meeting an hour earlier. This should thin the ranks a bit, but primarily let us early birds get the worm (VL parking).
[Seneca Creek is running under the min of 85 cfs, so that's out.] See CCA Trip Coordinator (Cheat Sheet) for this run.

PFDs are required for all. Helmets are required for kayakers using spray skirts and highly recommended for all others. Airbags are strongly encouraged for boats without other means of flotation. If you need safety equipment, please advise the trip coordinator in advance.
