I think this was the first GWC trip in a while to do the Riley's to Pennyfield section rather than the loop from Violette's Lock. It was a large group - 21 paddlers. I arrived early to organize and get the shuttle going, and discovered that the normal parking area towards the boat ramp was nearly full, largely with non-boaters. But there was still plenty of parking further away from the boat ramp. When we arrived at Riley's the parking lot was only a bit more than half full.
In solo canoe we had: Gary Q, Ginny Q, Tim T, Hendrik VO, and Rich C
In K1 we had: Wayne M, John S, Eliza B, Danny R, Kathleen S, Louise S, Barb B, Lauren W, Bob H, Toni B, Miki K, Jack F, Andrew T, and Robin W
In packraft we had: Marty
We split up into two groups: 7 in the River Runner (fast) group, and 14 in the Play (slow) group. Thanks to Wayne for heading up the River Runner group. There were plenty of play spots even at 2.87' on the Little Falls gauge. We had great weather; largely blue skies, low 80s, and no wind.
