We had 13 on the LF trip (one of 4 trips on this beautiful Thursday). All in K-1’s except 2 packrafts as noted below. Level was 3.2. Most of us ran the MD/DC side of Little Falls rapid, 1 ran the hairy ferry to the VA side (rolled 3 times successfully, including a visit to--and successful exit from--the Room of Doom eddy), and 3 ran the small channel at the top of the VA side. One paddler flipped and swam at the bottom of Z-Channel and decided to walk out because of a broken foot brace. Sam S kindly assisted that paddler with the portage to the top of Z-Channel. A few of us gathered afterwards at Pitmasters BBQ with two paddlers who weren’t able to join us on the trip. It was great to have Vince G along with us from TRR Fort Belvoir chapter!
