We did indeed have a great pick-up trip. Robert Goo, Dave Beck, Kent Marcaux, and myself. We put on at 1:30 and flow was about 400 CFS on the Sherrill gauge. Plenty of water albeit the hidden rocks were out in abundance. My personal zero level is 200 CFS. Certainly happy to have channelled Steve Ettinger's enthusiasm for the creek. He is missed.
(Bibliographic Note: The cover of Steve's paddling book shows him descending Rock Creek in 2006 at 3.0 ft (300 cfs?) at Joyce Rd gage, when it flowed brown for two days as Lake Needwood was drained lest the earthen dam break.) alf
