Who would have thought we would have 25 paddlers on an overcast day in June? But that’s what happened today. At 6:00 am the LF gauge was 4.41 which is a bit higher than last week. However, it spiked to 7.66 at 1100 am while we were on the river. Due to the record crowd, we deployed into an Advanced Guard led by intrepid Wayne M, the main body by yours truly and a rear guard led by indominable Barb Brown. No reported carnage or issues. Dramatis personae were: In K1: Mickey B, Toni B, Barb B, Dmitry, Sergey G, Dean H, Bob H, Diane H, Lisa L, Wayne McD, Kathleen S, John S, Andrew T, Alena V, Pam W, Lauren W; In rec kayaks we had Dave and Cavin McW, Danielle S. In a packraft there was Steffan S. And finally in OC1s were Rich C, Hendrik VanO, Gary and Ginny Q, myself. It is believed that 25 is a new record for the Sunday paddles!!
