After days of dreary weather and a conflict on Sunday, we decided to get out for a Saturday paddle on the Potomac, Anglers to Lock 10. We had 5 - instigators Gary and Ginny Q., Pam W., Dean H. and Diane H. The Little Falls gage was somewhere around 3.28 ft., 4480 cfs. Not a ton of water, but sufficient for all of us to have a great day. The weather started cloudy, warm and humid, but the sun didn’t disappoint and showed up to dry things up a little. We met at Lock 10 at 9:00, everyone was early, and we had the good fortune to get parking at Lock 10 and managed to snag the last two spots in the lower lot at Anglers, so on the water about 9:30. Everyone had a good day with good lines, some play and no swims. Dean is getting used to a new boat and had successful rolling practice. We paddled up to Scott’s Run and while we were taking a break there, Bruce C. showed up to say hi. He and John E. were surfing the wave on river left above Stubblefield. We were off the water around noon and lunched at Fish Taco.
