Seven pleased paddlers headed down the Little Falls run on a really fine fall day on Oct 12. Gary S. Miles T., Ken C, Peter R, joined Bruce C in K1s along Ginny Q and Gary Q in OC1s. The low level made Z channel the expected scrapey run and forced the OC1s to carry the last portion. 3 Paddlers bounced down Beaver Slide. Peter braved the VA side of LFs to be greeted by DC Fire and Rescue conducting water rescue training from the Rock Island. Wildlife sightings included turkey buzzards, at least one of which was in the fascinating "wing drying" pose. Several paddlers retired to Fish Taco for lunch and conversation afterward.
