We had a group of 9 at Little Falls. In kayaks were Jenny, Bruce, Peter, Howard, Gary, Ken, Ned, and myself. Larry was in his canoe. Eight of us ran the Beaver Slide, one taking advantage of the higher water to go left of the island. At LF we all ran the MD side, with some running down the middle and others staying left through the first drop. There must have been a dozen Blue Heron at the bottom of LF fishing from both sides and the island in the middle. With the high tide we were able to paddle all the way up the channel, making the takeout a breeze. The canal,had plenty of water for the return trip to Lock 5.
