We had six paddlers who braved the 95 degree heat for this classic trip: Ginny and Gary Quam, (OC1s) Wayne McDaniel (K1), Barb Brown (K1), Mikey Baummer (K1) and your correspondent Tim Tilson (OC1). Of note is the balance between canoes and kayaks. Other than the heat, noting untoward happened. Lots of surfing at the “hole” and other places. No rescued hummingbirds, or paddlers. In fact there was only one other paddler and he was on the C&O Canal.
