THURS PADDLE - Anglers to Lock 10 + the Chutes
Let's meet at Lock 10 to set a short auto shuttle at 9:00 sharp. Two paddlers par car. Rules below. We will go up and play briefly in the Chutes, then turn dwnstream and run Offutts and Yellow Falls, both Cl. IIs and Stubblefield, a Cl. II+ - DO NOT JUST SHOW UP.
///
Assuming we get the shuttle set up smartly at Lock 10 - we should be on the water in an hour - by 10:00. The trip is - 3.5 river miles with (not counting the Chutes) three play rapids. So roughly 4 hours paddle/play time. Out at 2 pm - discombobulated by 3 PM
///
Water level at Little Falls predicted at 3.2 ft . Weather forecast is Sunny, with a high near 75. Please dress for the cooler weather. Water temperatures will probably be around 60, so have a warm dry change of clothes in case you take a swim. PFDs and helmets are required. Fuzzy T-shirts and shorts help. Please let us know if you need safety equipment. Folks new to our trips, please read CCA's Covid Tips on this TRIPS Tab under "Trip Guidelines" and the American Whitewater's Safety Code, CCA Handbook pages 18-25 or at American Whitewater website at https://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/Wiki/safety:start? Everyone must contact Alf at alfcooley@gmail.com by COB Wednesday to participate. If interested in inclusion on the Thursday or Sunday mailing list please email trips@canoecruisers.org.
