Trip Reports

Goose Creek - 381 cfs - 16 Sept
Alford Cooley
by Gary Quam
We had a good paddle on the Goose today with no incidents to report. Nine paddlers in eight boats made the run; Pam W., Kathleen S., Angel A., and David C, in K1’s, Mark W., Ginny and Gary Q., in OC1’s, and Cannon and Charlotte W., who maneuvered their 17 foot Old Town Tripper down Golf Course rapids twice. Water flow at 381 cfs exposed a few more rocks than the previous Sunday
trip on the creek, but still a pleasant level for this run. The weather turned out to be very nice with temperatures in the 70’s and the sun making an appearance. A bonus at the put in was less mud than expected. Pam pointed out the location on reservoir-right of the possible new put in which will shorten the flat-water paddle above the dam.

This was the most people we've had out on the Goose this year - Angel & Cotton were new to the run.
