Alf checked out the C&O Canal earlier in the week and found that there was still water in the canal so Gary Q. and Alan G. had the same brilliant idea to paddle on this fine Thanksgiving Weekend day. Joining them were Hendrik vO, John S., Dan R., Craig R. (who joined in the parking lot with his Appalachian) and Ginny Q. It was an open boat day as we had 5 OC-1s, a row boat and one K-1. LF gage 3.26 ft., 4290 cfs. Water temp: 43 Weather: sunny, mid to high 50s, winds W 8 mph. As always, some swifter river runners and some slower players, but all agreed it was a beautiful day to be on the river.
