In one of two Thursday paddler trips on the Potomac Aug. 22 (the other was Anglers to Lock 10), we had 7 people paddling Little Falls at 3.16 feet (3740 cfs). Kayaks: Mark Brenneman, Barb Brown, Jeanine Hagan, Anne Kibler, Cindy Rogers, and John Snitzer. OC1: Larry Lempert (trip coordinator). No carnage whatsoever to report—everyone did fine. Two of us ran a pleasantly padded Beaver Slide. All of us ran standard Maryland lines at the main drop. Four of us took out at Fletcher's and can advise that one can have lunch, take a nap, catch up on email, and perhaps watch three shows on Netflix during the time it takes the traffic light there to change, so plan accordingly.
