George Washington Canal - Sunday, Sept. 20th
Author Last Post
We had a group of 10 today that braved the 50 degree start and cooler water temps to meet at 9am at Violettes Lock. Ginny and Gary Quam, Alf Cooley, Barb Brown, Wayne McDaniel, Tim Tilson, Pam White, Sam Mazur, Ann Galvin and Kathleen Sengstock had a nice run down the GW Canal with water level at 2.95 ft. at the LF gauge. Barb, Ann and Kathleen attained while the rest of us made our way across the river at various speeds and back up the C&O Canal, which, while still navigable, is getting noticeably lower.

With the sunshine, the day warmed up nicely and turned into another picture perfect day on the river.
