Ice Cream Social
Author Last Post

Note that creamsicles are everything you remember them to be.

The Ice Cream Social attracted over 20 CCA members of all ages who took advantage of the many opportunities offered by the new Rileys Lock picnic area. At least six SUPed up Seneca Creek. There was a two oclock group that met  at Violettes and paddled the George Washington/C&O Canal circuit. Thunder and sprinkles halted further water fun -- but we were welcomed by Miki's exquisite selection of frozen confectionaries. Even as light and then heavier rain fell, we were not deterred to enjoy the company of seldom seen friends. It was such fun to watch the dry ice become a supervised science lesson for the young ones and the physicists among us trying to explain the chemistry. Hopefully we will do this again.

Participants: Barb with one friend, Miki, Marty, Netta, Jackie with two friends, John Snitzer, Shea, Michelle and her family of four, Kathleen, Jan, Dave Newson, Cindy and John Rogers, Nathan and Raleigh Williamson and Paula who is ready to trade her fishing kayak in for a whitewater boat. We were delighted that Paul and Candace Schneider dropped by. Paul was using a walker, but his smile was as big as ever. Said he missed us.
